I amended my taxes which gave me extra money. I finally received my federal check but the extra money wasn't on there. Will that come later?

Your Amended return can take up to 16 weeks to be processed by the IRS. After the IRS processes the return, you will be sent a check for the remaining amount.

Three weeks after you mailed your amendment, you can start tracking its progress at the IRS Where's My Amended Return? site.

You got the first refund?  Yes you still get the first original refund.  The the amended return is only for the difference you get back or owe back.
