i amended my state return but had not yet filed the original return and now it shows $0 refund due to me. The only amendment I made was to the direct deposit bank account

The state return should still show a refund due to me, but it is showing $0 refund now that I amended it and TurboTax is not showing me the option to get the original unamended return. How do I proceed so I can still get my refund?

You should not have "amended" your return if you did not ever file your original return.    Amending is a special process you use only for original returns that have been filed and fully processed but that may have had mistakes or missing information that has to be corrected.   You need to simply mail in an original state return with the correct banking information.   E-filing is permanently closed for 2024 returns; the only way to file a 2024 return is by mail.

Or....go to the state's tax site and get the state forms to prepare by hand to mail in.   You will need information from your federal return.
