I amended my return and was awarded an extra amount of money. When will I receive this remaining amount as I had already received my prior refund?

I already received my date when my refund would hit prior to amending  my taxes. After amending I was awarded extra money but have not received it yet.

It usually takes four to six months or more to receive a refund when you amend your return.  It takes the IRS a long time to process an amended tax return.   Do not expect the refund from amending to arrive quickly.   You can watch for information here:
