I amended my 2017 return. Now if I open turbo tax it only shows the amended return. Where is the original that I will need next year?

The amended return replaces your original return. You use the amended return to transfer into next year. Did you mail the amended return to the IRS? You only need the AGI from the original return next year to efile.

The original AGI is shown on Form 1040X Line 1 (hopefully you only amend once)..

You needed to save a copy of your original return before you Amended.  Your Amended return (which is the latest version of your tax return) will be what carries over into 2018.

Your revised tax return, as amended, is the one that you will need next year.
You can still make a PDF/paper copy of all your forms and schedules, as amended.
