I amended my 2017 filing, added Points Paid on purchase of principal residence (increasing my return). Why doesn't it show amendment/change of return amount when I print?

The Form 1040X  is not available yet.  So when you do a reprint, it will not say amended or changed.  You will need to check the amount in the refund box, to make sure it is more than what your original refund was.

You need to wait until the 1040X is available. Also, It is advisable to wait until the IRS has processed your original return before you mail in your amendment.
