And....if you amend your 2021 return, the amended return must be sent by mail.  It cannot be e-filed.  Use a mailing service like certified mail so you will know the IRS received it, since you will have a long wait after your mail it in.

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take five months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
