I am trying to sign to fix my HI tax return. I put today or tomorrow's date on it but it does not accept.

This can happen in Hawaii (or Alaska) at the end of a month close to Midnight due to time zones.  You may have tried efiling when you are still on March 31, and the rest of the USA is April 1.   It will probably resolve within a few hours.    It can also happen if the date/time is not set correctly on your computer.
