I am trying to cancel my return because I can be a dependent this year still and dont know how to do this?

You can't cancel your return if you already filed. If you have not filed, you can clear your return.

If your parents or whoever claims you have already filed and been accepted then your return will reject.  Then you can fix it and resend it.

If your return gets accepted first you will give to mail in an Amended 1040X to fix it.  And they will have to mail their return this year.
