I am trying to amend a prior year filing. On the desktop application it says all available activation for that code have been used. What do i do?

If you are amending a past year return using desktop software, you should not have to re-install the software--unless you actually un-installed it. You should just be able to open the return from your own hard drive. Once the return is open, go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Tax Forms>Amend a Return

I had to reinstall my computer in the past year, otherwise i'd still have the software installed
