I am trying to add a 1098T to my daughter's return, but it has my name in there and doesn't allow me to delete it or add hers

Are you claiming your daughter as a dependent? If you are, then a drop down will appear in the entry window for you to select your daughter. If you don't have her as a dependent then you cannot claim the education credit for her.

Just noticed the gist of your question that you are actually trying to add a 1098 T to your daughter's return and NOT your return! Ensure you create a new return for your daughter in Turbo Tax under a separate account.

I am claiming my daughter on my taxes.  I am not a student; however, she is so when I go to the area on deductions to deduct tuition and fees it lists me as the student.  I have tried to delete myself and add her, but it does not allow me to do that.  I tried to leave my information there and add her and again it does not allow me to do this.  All the questions refer to me as the student, which I cannot change.  This has never happened in the past, so I'm not sure if its the program or something I am not doing.

Start by going to the Education section of your return using these steps:  

• On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)
• This opens a box where you can type in “education” (be sure to enter exactly as shown here) and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
• The search results will give you an option to “Jump to education”
• Click on the blue “Jump to education” link

Then, go through the entire education expenses section of your return until you reach the screen titled “Your Education Expenses Summary”.  At this point you should see your name listed as a student along with an option to Add a Student.  Click Delete next to your name and then Add a Student to enter your daughter's information.

I followed the steps you outlined and it doesn't give me an option to add my daughter even after deleting my name, it just keeps populating my name?

Here's how to edit the 1098-T in TurboTax:

From Deductions & Credits

Expenses and Scholarships (form 1098-T) hit Update

From the page that says Now Let's Gather The Additional Education Expenses

Hit Continue. You will need to continue through several screens until you get to the screen that says Your Education Expenses Summary click Edit

At Here's Your Education Summary you can Edit, Delete or Add New School

At this point you will Delete then on the next page you will Delete Student and Confirm.

Next you will Add New Student (your daughter) and go back through the interview.

I'm having the same problem as above, I'm entering my daughter's 1098-T but it is putting me as the student. I've gone through all the steps you've said to do, and it still does not give me an option to change the student name.

 Is your daughter listed as a dependent on your return and are you preparing her own tax return. Can you be a little more detailed so we can get to the bottom of this. This doesn't sound right.

No, I cannot be more detailed.  Quite frankly, I went with another site after working on this site for years.  This was clearly a software issue and to speak with a human I had to pay 90.00 which is ridiculous.  I did not need tax advice I needed help with your software.  I filed with you for many years and never had this issue before, so clearly it was the software.  My fiance filed hers and had no problem with her dependent college tuition, but I could not get mine to accept my dependent instead of myself.  It's bad enough that you make people pay who add college tuition to the return, but to make people pay to ask a question about your software is something different.  I went with Credit Karma and did just fine for free.

Sounds like an incorrect 1098-T, if the "student's name" box lists the parent.

The 1098-T has my daughter's name, but when I input it in to Turbo Tax it doesn't let me change the students name to my daughter

The student needs to be your dependent and listed as a dependent on your return.

If you are preparing a return for your daughter, your name should not be listed in her return.  Are you sure you are not still in your return and not hers?
