I am sure that I filed Joint returns this years however, the only reply I receive from IRS site is when I check the Single status box.

You don't file more than one joint return for a married couple for the tax year, if it's a joint return. You said "returns" in the plural. Sounds to me like you filed two single returns - one for you and one for your spouse. That's wrong and will get you audited in time if you were in fact married on or before Dec 31 of the tax year filed.

So is that what you did?
