I am supposed to be expecting roughly $600 (minus fees here) in my tax return but I have only received $187 is there a reason I haven’t gotten the other $200-$300?

An expert did file for me and I am a dependent but I put in my direct deposit information for my account and I’m sure that the fees for the expert to do my taxes did not amount to the rest of the $600.

Could it be for state? Federal and state come separately at different times from different places.

Federal or state? They come separately. If the IRS or state made an adjustment and/or offset, they will be sending you a letter. They do not notify TT. Did you enter your own info for the expert to review? Perhaps you made a keying error.
