I am looking to pay for the upgrade now, but it will not let me because it will deduct it from my return refund. i will not file with turbotax. i just want to pay.

You can remove the Refund Processing Services and change your payment method before filing by using the instructions below:

After you've done that, if you just want to upgrade your version of TurboTax online, see the instructions below. Keep in mind that you'll need to select to upgrade AND make payment for a minimum of the PLUS feature to gain access to your prior years' returns.
