I am amending to include a like exchange 1031 which I have already entered into Turbo Tax after filing. How do I get it to go in as 1040X?

The original Turbo Tax form was amended by me AFTER I e filed the original tax with Turbo tax.  

How do I get the current form sent as an 1040X

You need to restore your return to it's status at the time of filing.  If you have a save .tax file, open that and start the amend process from there.  If you don't have a saved copy of your return in that status, you will need to undo what you've done since filing, and then start the amended return.
