I already filed my taxes for this year and just received a K-1 that shows a loss. Do I need to amend my return or can I add it to next years?

You would need to amend your return to make any changes to it. The K-1 belongs on your 2016 tax return, not next years (2017) taxes.

But wait until the original return is fully processed and you have received a refund/or paid the taxes due.
