I already filed but people on my job said i should have waited because the child deductible was changed(higher now) after w2's was sent out... Will i lose out on money???

Nothing has changed mid-year.

Next year (2018) there are changes in the exemption ($4,050) and standard deduction amounts, but for 2017, they remain the same as the table below.
