Hello, I filed my taxes three weeks ago. However, last week I discovered that I accidentally put I didn’t take a $400.00 HSA distribution when I did (I think I must’ve misread it as contribution). I have my 1040x federal prepared to file and am just waiting on my PA40X to appear on TurboTax. I am freaking out as I have never made a mistake on my taxes before. Can someone please assure me everything will be ok once I file my 1040x? I’m afraid I’m going to jail or something. Thank you.

Yes, everything will work out well. The IRS doesn't send people to jail for not entering a form correctly.
You realized your mistake and are correcting it as soon as you are able. The PA40X is scheduled to be available in a few days, and everything will be fixed.
Okay just take a deep breath and stop panicking. The reason for amended returns is to correct errors on the return if you made one. Once both your federal and state returns have completely processed and you have the refunds in hand then and only then should you complete an amended return.

Thank you so much, Critter-3! It means a lot.
Thank you so much, @PattiF! I’m going to have the PA40X ready to go as soon as it’s available. I guess I am just being a worry-wart.
