Only the state tax agency will know what all it is doing with your return.  Illinois DOR has said to expect longer than usual processing times this year.    Here are some things you should check:

First, if you efiled, be sure the Illinois return was successfully efiled and accepted.  You can use this tool to check:

What status is showing for the Illinois return when you log back into your Online account?

If those show it was accepted, the following FAQ tells how to track an Illinois state refund.   There may also be a FAQ on your state tax agency's website with into on about how long it takes to get a refund, and how long to wait before phoning them.
