back in 2016 i tried to go back to college. i dropped out the first time. i went to the financial aid office first and it was already a week into classes and ask them if i can still enroll since i already dropped out and don't have the money and would need financial aid. the girl there said that i should sign up now cause it was the last day to register for classes and file an appeal for financial aid. well the next week i was rejected to receive financial aid so stopped going to class. they still billed me for the whole semester though. i have 0 grades and no attendance in any of the classes i signed up for. now every year the college takes my entire refund to pay for this semester. i can't afford to pay it off and the number i owe keeps getting bigger because of interest. either way why should i pay for a semester of college i didn't go to and have 0 grades/ attendance for. i didn't officially withdraw from the semester because without receiving financial aid i didn't believe i was ever technically enrolled.
is there some way to stop SUNY fredonia from taking my tax return every year and giving me another mountain of debt?
