I filed my Oregon tax return in October 2025 for TY2024 which should have resulted in a refund which I asked to be applied to TY2025. Within two weeks I received a Notice of Proposed Refund Adjustment from the Oregon Department of Revenue via mail which indicated that they had recalculated (increased) the interest owed for TY2024. I did not timely object so the adjustment should have become final by mid-November 2025. In February 2026, I received a federal Form 1099-G from Oregon indicating payment of a refund to me in 2025 of the entire TY2024 overpayment, i.e., without any deduction for the interest using either my calculation or their calculation. No refund check was ever received. I cannot find any place on my account with the Oregon DOR portal to determine the actual refund carryforward. Any suggestions short of calling and being put on hold for hours?

It seems that the DOR is slow to update their transcript records. Since we are so close to the tax return due date, I can think of only two options:
1. Get on the phone first thing in the morning with the DOR, and wait until they give you an answer, or
2. Assume the worst case (that they are carrying forward your refund less any recalculation and interest), and do your 2025 with this amount was carried forward to 2025.
Otherwise if you doubt that any amount was, then manually enter at Estimates and Other Taxes Paid->Other Income Taxes->2024 Refund applied to 2025 and send an email (or call) to the DOR asking where your refund went, if not returned to you and not carried forward to 2025.
Sorry that we don't have a magic bullet for you, but only the DOR knows what they did.
Ask for an Oregon Return Transcript for 2024. This is not an exact copy of your return (with shading, lines, and boxes) but is a document that shows the line numbers on the tax form along with the amounts for you.
As you can see, you can probably get the transcript online. Otherwise, for $5 you can get an exact copy of your return.
Thanks for the quick reply. I forgot to mention that I obtained the online transcript and it shows on Line 41 the entire overpayment (not adjusted for interest owed using either my calculation or the DOR's calculation) and fails to state how much, if any, was applied to TY2025. I also tried running the "Where is my refund?" tool on the DOR portal, but it only works with the current (TY2025) tax returns, not any prior years. Any other suggestions?
