How long does it take the IRS to process your refund? It’s processing but I was told mid feb for anyone who claimed the EITC.

I claimed EITC and ACTC. And everything I have read has stated mid February but then says that the money should be in account STARTING the 27th. Well that’s not mid February.

Processing should begin mid February. Approval happens after processing. Refunds happen after approval.  

During processing, the government reviews your refund. During the review process, they look for math errors on your return (extremely rare in TurboTax) and they also check if you owe back taxes, unpaid child support, or other debts.

If they need to make any corrections, they may offset (reduce) your refund. In some cases, the correction might even increase your refund.

Once that part's done, the government approves your refund, which means it's ready to be deposited or sent.

It can take up to 21 calendar days after acceptance for the IRS to issue your refund, although most refunds go more quickly than that, while a small handful may take a bit longer.

i did my taxes on january 30th they were accepted that day but i claimed the earned income credit and the child tax credit what is taking so dang long is it 21 days after being processed or after being accepted

There is no set date.  It can be any day of the week, Monday thru Friday.
