It could take a few days, but what is the e-file status of your return, is it still pending?              How do I check my e-file status?

As long as your return is e-filed by 4/15/26 at midnight (your time), it is considered to be timely filed even if the IRS hasn't approved it yet.  The IRS gets bogged down near the tax deadline, so it often takes longer than usual for them to accept/reject returns.

If for some reason your return gets rejected, you have five days to correct the error and resubmit to avoid any penalties: What if I e-filed on time but my return got rejected after the filing deadline?

It says it was received by the IRS but it’s pending on TurboTax.

The IRS status is the one that counts, so if they show it received, you can ignore the TurboTax status.

Are you using the desktop software, you may need to check for updates?
