How long at federal returns taking to process? I e filed almost 5 weeks ago and received my state return this week but am still waiting on my federal

Sorry to tell you but with the covid shut down situation returns are taking much longer to process ... the usual 21 days may take several months.  Check the IRS site every few days for a status update :  www.IRS.gov/refunds

That's what I was afraid.. Just wondering if anyone else having filed around the same time received theirs 😕 I had read when it started a lot of the workers were sent home.. But with everything going on it could really come in handy, like yesterday.
