How do you file an amended tax return for 2016? my grandaughter doesnt have the tax info from 2016 when she filed. she didn't claim her tuition that she paid for.

If she filed her 2016 taxes with TurboTax, to amend, please review:  https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/5114064

If she did not file with TurboTax, she can still amend with TurboTax by following these steps:

1.  She will need to purchase a past year TurboTax desktop program here Past Years Products and 

2.  Recreate her return in exactly the way as how it was filed, then 

3.  Go through the amendment process by following these steps :

     In the program, across the top, go to Federal Taxes / Other Tax Situations / Other Tax Forms- Amend a                            return and select Start to follow step-by-step onscreen instructions.
