How do I track my refund when there was a request for more information to be submitted via fax?

I recieved a letter 12C  asking for my 195-A and a completed form 8296 that was allowed to be faxed in. Its that considered an amended return and is the process for tracking it the same as a regular refund or an amended refund?

It is not considered an amended return so you are able to track your refund here still: https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Just a note that it can take a few weeks after you send in the 1095-A and 8296 for the IRS to update the website.
