How do I save then recover my file before filing?
When you sign out using TurboTax Online, your work is automatically saved to our secure servers so you can pick up right where you left off when you sign back in. To do so, click Sign Out in the bottom left Then sign in to TurboTax here whenever you're ready to return.
Plus, we automatically save your work every time you move to a new screen, in case you lose your connection.
If you are working in TurboTax Desktop, you go to the top-right corner and click File. Select Save as to name your file and specify where on your computer you would like to save it. If you've already saved your file name and know its location, click File > Save to make sure your file is up to date.
