If your transmission is successful, you should receive an email indicating you that your tax return was e-filed successfully. The next email you'll receive will notify you if your return was accepted or rejected by the IRS. If your return is rejected, you'll need to fix whatever is wrong and re-submit. There is no additional charge to re-submit a rejected return.
