I filed my 1098-t  will I get my school refund even though I already recieved my state return?

Once you have finished amending the return, you will need to print and mail the amended return to the IRS. The IRS does not allow amended returns to be efiled. If you amended your state return as well, you'll need to mail that form to your State's Department of Revenue (the instructions will print from TurboTax on where to mail this).

If you are due an additional refund after amending, then yes, you will receive the refund for the amended return in addition to the refund you may have already received. 

After you have printed and mailed your amended return to the IRS you can track the status of the return using this tool (please wait three weeks after mailing the amended return before checking):  https://www.irs.gov/filing/individuals/amended-returns-form-1040-x/wheres-my-amended-return-1

It takes 8-12 weeks for the IRS to process an amended return.
