If you do not have a checking account, then choose the option to receive the tax refund as a check in the mail.  Additionally, if you requested to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund, this requires you to direct deposit the federal tax refund.  If you do not have a checking account then you have to remove the pay with refund option and pay the TurboTax account fees with a credit card.
