How do I get to the page to do an Amendment since it won't open the downloaded to try to file Amendment it just opens it to view it?

What tax year are you trying to amend?   You cannot amend a 2023 return, if that is what you attempting to do.

To amend a prior year tax return (2020 thru 2022) you must have the TurboTax desktop software for the tax year you need to amend so that you can open the tax data file you downloaded.

Go to this TurboTax website to purchase and download the prior year desktop software - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

With the TurboTax software downloaded and installed and the tax data file opened -

Click on Federal Taxes

Click on Other Tax Situations

Scroll down to Other Tax Forms

On Amend a return, click on the start button
