I never received my 2019 tax refund. How do I get it applied to what I owe for this year?

Did you file your 2019 return?  Was it accepted or did you mail it?  The IRS might still be processing it.  You have to ask the IRS about it.   Maybe you didn’t finish filing it or it rejected.

Check back though your emails. When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?

You have to "View Your Account" at the IRS website to see your balances.
