@erik7823 but i thought the only way to pay for it is after you've completed your tax return?????? if that is true, hasn't it been used???????
if you mean you bought the download version from an online retailer or directly from Turbo Tax, that is a different story.
I bought it. As I was doing my refund then the irs kept rejecting my return so I went to a in person tax prepare. Turbo tax keeps sending me a email to fix my return and resubmitting it. But I already went somewhere else. I tried to fix it through turbo tax several times without any luck that's why I went elsewhere
@erik7823 - but here is the issue (and I don't work for Turbo Tax).... Turbo Tax charges for the tax return; tney don't charge for e-filing. So Turbo Tax is going to say that you got the benefiti of their software, which is the completed tax return. From that point you knew what the refund (or amount owed was) and could have mailed in the return and still received any refund due you.
That is the challenge you will have in trying to get Turbio Tax to refund any money to you. Not saying you shouldn't try, but be prepared for that arguement,
Once paid the online fees are not refundable. And the downloaded program fees can only be refunded within 60 days of purchase and only if you bought it thru TT directly.
You can go here TurboTax CD/Download Refund Request Form to request a refund of the downloaded program within 60 days of purchase.
