How do I find out if I have unused losses from prior years?

I think I did have at one point.  Not sure when or if I still have some.  I don't know where to look to figure this out.  Will it be somewhere on my last years return?

If you looking for your capital loss carryover, check your 2021 schedule D.

The difference between line 16 and 21 is your carryover loss.

Thanks.

Do you happen to know if there is a difference if I file with my husband's name first (as I have done for many many years, or if I file with my name first?  I usually use Turbo Tax download or disk, but, this year I am trying Turbo Tax online and it is NOT picking up all our prior info on our rental and business loss and such.

Do I need to start over and go back to the download so it picks up our previous tax info?

Thanks

It's important that you keep the names in the same order you have always filed. If not, it could delay processing significantly, especially if you have a rental or business.

Check that you have entered his information first at the very beginning under personal information.
