How do I File an amended return by mail when the original return was e-filed and paid with direct debit?

I am getting "If you want to file by mail, you must go back and choose a different method to pay your taxes." but when I revisit the "Your refund/payment info" it just refreshes the screen and does not give me options to change any options to change from efile to pay by check. Can anyone help me with this?

Since you are using the downloaded program you do not need to use the FILE tab at all ... use the Print Center in the upper right corner  to print out the forms you need to mail in and put a check in the envelope.

You will have the option to choose a check or direct deposit before you file your return. If you have not filed yet you can change your method and request the card. This Turbo Tax help article will show you how.

Unfortunately, once you e-file, it's too late to change your refund method. You will have to contact the IRS. If you have not filed yet you can use this Turbo Tax FAQ to change your refund method.
