How do I file an addendum to my 2018 taxes?

you must file an amended return form 1040-X.  it can only be mailed in.  if your state has an income tax, you may also need to file an amended state return.  The IRS is way behind in processing paper returns. so if the amended return will produce a refund expect a long wait.
