How do I enter an advance child tax credit when I filed Married Jointly?

You will receive a letter from the IRS telling you how much to report.

You and your spouse should each get an IRS Form 6419 through the mail.  You can also use this IRS link to check for the advance tax credit paid to each of you.  

The amounts should be 50% to each of you. 

In TurboTax you will enter the amounts from each of your letters into your respective boxes (see screenshot below). 

To get to the screen:

1. Type "Child Tax Credit" in the search box
2. Enter. 
3. Click the "Jump to" link a the top of the results box (You will also see a link with more detailed instructions in the search results if you need).
