How do I e-file 1040-X with TurboTax? I filled mine out back in February but forgot to file it and now the IRS is breathing down my neck for Form 8962 (in 1040-X).

I just went through the ammendment process again and TurboTax is claiming that it must be printed and filed by mail. This isn't true as of August 17 as stated on the IRS website. Is it not possible to e-file 1040-x with Turbo Tax?

E-filing is closed right now until the IRS begins to accept e-files again in January, when they open up for e-filing 2020 returns. So you can wait to e-file it in mid-to late January or you can mail it now.

Either way--be aware that it is taking the IRS about six months to process amended returns, so do not expect quick results from amending.

I would not mail it. IRS is way backed up.
