I want to amend my 2016 tax form, and it says that to download my 2016 .tax file "(You'll need to purchase TurboTax Deluxe online or higher editions in order to download your .tax file. Learn more)".
I decided to purchase the TurboTax Premier 2016. But when I click to download .tax file after purchasing the premier edition, it still says "It looks like you need to pay first to instantly access your TurboTax returns".
So I already have paid for the TurboTax Edition 2016, but I still can't access my .tax file from the free edition. How can I solve this issue?

The requirement is that you need to pay for one of the TurboTax 2018 online editions of either Plus, Deluxe, Premier or Self-Employed so that you can access the prior year online accounts. Since you purchased the 2016 Premier desktop edition, you will need to contact TurboTax support for assistance in retrieving the 2016 tax data file from the 2016 online account.

I purchased 2016 Deluxe Turbo Tax in 2017 when I filed my 2016 taxes. I downloaded the 2016 Turbo Tax Amend a few minutes ago, but I still am unable to download my 2016 .tax file. Can you help me?
Can you give us a little bit more information to allow us to troubleshoot with you better? Are you not able to see the file at all, or are you getting some sort of error when you do try to download the file?
