How do I delete an amended return, which I did not file yet? Turbotax has created an amended return that I am supposed to print and file, but it has errors.

I filed one amended return already, electronically. Now I need to file one more. Turbo tax created the 2nd amended return for me to print and file, but it has errors. How can I delete and start the 2nd amended return over again?

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, please see this FAQ for guidance.

If you are using TurboTax Online, you will actually need to start at your Tax Home menu.

1. Log back into TurboTax and on the Tax Home page, scroll down to Tax returns and docs.
2. Select the tax year you need to cancel the amendment for.
3. Click on Amend (change) for the applicable year that needs to be deleted.
4. Click on Start an amendment online.
5. Then on the menu on the left, select Cancel Amend.  Confirm and then select Continue.

This will remove the latest amended return and allow you to proceed with the correct information to complete the 2nd amended return.
