How do I check to see if I asked for a refund advance when I filed my taxes?

I'm pretty sure I selected for it, but I can't find anything in my documents about it. I do remember signing into my Credit Karma account while I was filing through TurboTax. Is there a way to see if I selected this option?

You can look in a few specific places in your account or your email. 

Check Your TurboTax Order Details

1. On the Tax Home page, scroll down to the section for "Your tax returns & documents."
2. Select View Order Details.
3. Look for "Refund Advance" or "Credit Karma Money" listed under your payment and refund methods.
4. If it’s not there, you likely selected a standard direct deposit or a different refund option.

Look for Confirmation Emails

• If you applied, you should have received automated emails from TurboTax and its partners.

1. From TurboTax: Search for an email confirming your "Refund Selection."
2. From Credit Karma: If you were approved, Credit Karma sends an email when the funds are deposited into your Credit Karma Money Spend account.
3. From WebBank: If your application was denied, you will receive an email from WebBank (the lender) explaining the reason for the decline.

Check Your Credit Karma Money Account

• Because the Refund Advance is deposited into a Credit Karma Money™ Spend account, checking that account is the fastest way to see if the loan was processed.

1. Log in to your Credit Karma account.
2. Navigate to the Money tab.
3. If you see a pending or completed deposit for a portion of your refund (typically between $250 and $4,000) shortly after the IRS accepted your return, that is your Refund Advance.

Review Your Tax Return Summary

• You can also find clues on your actual tax forms:

1. Open your 2025 return in TurboTax
2. Go to the Tax Tools menu on the left
3. Select Print Center
4. View your Federal Information Worksheet
5. Look at the "Direct Deposit" section
6. If you signed up for the advance, the bank account listed will be the MVB Bank account associated with Credit Karma, rather than your personal bank account.

So, I checked and it shows in payment method "refund transfer" and it has our deposit going into our Credit Karma account. If that's what it's supposed to be, how long does it generally take to show up?

I looked for the emails and while I see where I logged into Credit Karma from TurboTax to link it, I don't see any other emails.

I did see where last year, it looks like it took almost a week for the advance to come in. Could this be a similar situation?

I got the email saying I'm approved then its not an available when you check out. From understanding and reading comments here, you have to check the $35 bank option then ask for the advance instead of last year you checked the 5 day deposit with Karma and then you had the option to check the refund advance. They are a hot mess. This is an issue every year for years so honestly because of that they are not trust worthy.

The refund advance should be deposited to your Credit Karma account within 48 hours of the IRS accepting your tax return.
