How do I change the business code after I entered all the expense and income numbers? It has the wrong work industry and business code and there is not an edit button.

I am in the reef corals sale business, but it is trying to put it as pet care services which I do not think is accurate. How do I change the business code and work industry after I already input all the expenses and income?

I would like to take a deeper look at your tax return but will need you to create a copy that does not have any of your personal information.  To create this diagnostic file, follow the instructions below to send it to us.

For TurboTax Online:

1. Sign into your TurboTax Online account
2. Scroll down to Tax Tools from the menu on the left side . 
3. Select Tools from the drop-down 
4. On the pop-up screen, select Share my file with agent
5. A message that a diagnostic file gets sanitized and transmitted to us appears
6. Provide the Token Number that was generated in this thread. 

For TurboTax Desktop/Download Versions:

 Open your return.

1. Select the Online tab in the black bar at the top of TurboTax and select Send Tax File to Agent
2. This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created.  Select OK and the tax file will be sanitized and transmitted to us.
3. Please provide the Token Number that was generated in this thread.  

This will allow us to open a copy of your tax return without any of your personal information.

To edit your business code, go to the Your Business Info screen: 

1. Select Wages & Income from the left-hand menu.
2. Select Add/Edit next to "Self-employment income and expenses."
3. Click Edit on the "Your 2025 self-employment work summary" screen.
4. On the "Here’s your [business description] info" screen, click the pencil icon under Business summary to edit your code.
