How do I auto load my 2022 form 1040 individual turbotax info into this 2023 Home and Business program (as was possible in previous years)?

Home and Business Turbotax software previously worked using form 1040 invividual data - why not this year?

If you have your TurboTax 2022.tax file on your computer the 2023 desktop program will ask you if you want it transferred when you start a new return.

The tax data file for tax year 2022 should be in the TurboTax folder in the Documents directory.  The 2022 tax data file will have a file extension of .tax2022.  When you start a 2023 tax return with the 2023 TurboTax software it will show a list of 2022 tax returns that reside in the TurboTax folder.  Choose from the list to have the 2022 tax data transferred to the 2023 tax return.
