How do i apply a previous year state tax payment to my current year return

To enter the amount applied to your state taxes:

1. Go to Federal Taxes > Deductions & Credits
2. Scroll down to Estimates and click Start next to Other Income Taxes
3. Answer Yes to Do any of the above situations apply to you?
4. Scroll down to the 2015 Refund Applied to 2016 section
5. Click Start next to 2015 refund applied to 2016 state taxes
6. Enter the amount on the next screen. (See screenshot)
