How do I add Letter 6419 and Letter 6475 to my tax documents to transmit them to the IRS?

You enter the amounts listed on 6419 and 6475 on your tax returns but you do not transmit or include the actual letters you receive, if this is what you are asking. 

To enter the amounts of your 6419, please follow the advice VolvoGirl gave in the previous post. For the amount in the 6475, go to federal review. This is where you will confirm that the amount on the letter is the same as Turbo Tax has calculated for you. If the information is wrong, then you will reconcile the amount in this section.

My wife and I both received a Letter 6475 however, when I use the desktop version of turbotax and get to the federal review it does not ask about the economic impact payments whatsoever. What should I do?

It is possible that based on your income TurboTax may be calculating that you were not entitled to receive an economic impact payment.   However, there is a way that you can manually enter the information on the economic impact payment you received.   

In TurboTax Desktop, are you able to access your stimulus check choices by following these steps? 

• Across the top of the screen, click on Personal.
• Across the top of the screen, click on Other Tax Situations.
• Scroll to the bottom of the screen, click on Done with Other.
• The next screen It looks like you qualified for the stimulus.  Click Yes.
• At the screen Let’s double-check the amount you received, click Yes or No and click Continue.
• Proceed on to Federal Review and Smart Check.
