Storage unit for what, exactly? Are you self-employed? Are you storing supplies, etc.?
If you are not self-employed and using the storage unit for business purposes, you do not enter it on your tax return. It is simply a personal expense that is not deductible.
As xmasbaby0 stated, if you are not self-employed and using the storage unit for business purposes, it would be considered a personal convenience expense and therefore, not deductible. However, if you are a partner in a partnership or a principal shareholder/officer/employee in a corporation, you may be able to negotiate a rental agreement with your business/employer for reimbursement for use of your storage unit. The agreement for use of your shed should be in writing and at a fair rental rate.
