How can I tell if I actually paid my taxes when I filed my return. I thought I did but I can't see anywhere and it hasn't been deducted?

Will it show on TurboTax if I paid my tax due when I submitted my return?

The bank information and the date selected for payment will be on the Filing Instructions for your tax return and it will be on the Federal Information Worksheet in Part V of the worksheet.  You will need to use Print Center and the option for all worksheets when download the PDF of your tax return.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2025 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

TurboTax will never know or show when, how or if you paid your tax due.    TT only passes your information on to the IRS or state and it is up to the IRS and state to pull your payment if you selected direct debit from an account.  You can print your return and look at the page of filing instructions that prints out ---that will show how you said you want to pay your tax.   It is up to you to watch your own account to see when the debit occurs.

To verify your payment was processed successfully, check your online tax account two business days after the date you scheduled the payment to be withdrawn from your bank account. Your online tax account will indicate whether a payment attempt was rejected.
