What are you referring to? Did you receive a W-2 from an employer you do not recognize? Some employers have "parent" companies whose name appears on the W-2. Ask your immediate employer if the name on the W-2 is a parent company for the company you work for.

Or the name on the form is the payroll company they used and not the actual employer ... contact them for more information. If you worked the end of December 2020 it is possible the last paycheck was issued in Jan of 2021 so a W-2 was issued for that amount.
