How can I get "signed" copies of previous year (2015 and 2016) tax returns for refinancing purposes? version I was able to download online is not signed

Then get an ink pen and sign it.  Or there is the electronic postmark

You can find the Electronic Postmark, which is included in a copy of your return with All Worksheets included.   On your Tax Timeline under your taxes you'll see a section that says SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO.

Click the option that says Download all forms and worksheets. Then scroll through the .pdf it downloads and look for the form that says Electronic Postmark-Certification of Electronic Filing.

Most tax returns aren't signed anymore because they are e-Filed; your signature is implicit. Also referred to as "e-Signature".
