Did you import the data? TurboTax does not have an image of the 1099B. Only the data that you entered or imported will be in the worksheets that are part of your pdf. TT never has images of your W-2's, 1099's, etc.---only the data.
Hi, thanks for the response. Yea I likely imported it right from ETrade. The thing I don’t understand is that the IRS has the individual stock sales listed out with what I listed with the cost basis and what they think I owe. I can’t find these numbers anywhere on my return. I downloaded and read through the entire PDF. How did they get my numbers if they aren’t broken out on my return?
Have you tried getting a copy of the actual 1099B from E-Trade? Maybe looking at it would help.
Yea I have my 1099B from E*TRADE but the issue I’m having is how do I compare that to my return that I filed if the individual transactions aren’t listed in my return. I know I entered the data otherwise the IRS letter I got would show my original return values as 0 for each transaction. If I imported the data from ETrade to my return shouldn’t the transactions with cost basis be on my return somewhere? I see them for my fidelity investment account.
if you only trade with e-trade, then look at schedule D or forms 8949. it will have the results of the import.
the actual import should be on a Form 1099-B wks. but to print it out you may have to select tax return and all calculation worksheet. It's a calculation worksheet.
