How can I filed the Fed rtrn when Turbo will not allow me to file it until 1/17/19? It indicates the mgt 1098 is not available, but I printed it from the Chase website.

When I started to complete the Federal return the mortgage statement was not available so I signed up for email notifications when they became available.  Turbo Tax indicated the form will be available on 1/17/2019.  on 1/11/2019, I received an email from Chase my tax docs were available.  Turbo Tax will not permit me to submit my Federal return even though I completed the mortgage section.

The forms that can be used in the software have NOT been finalized by the IRS, so you have to wait for them.  Even if Chase has theirs ready, the tax software is waiting for IRS approval.  The IRS is not accepting 2018 returns until January 28 at the earliest, so you can wait without any dire consequences. If you file it now, all it does is it sit on a server anyway.
